A baby was up for sale on Craiglist

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Can you believe that a couple in Canada has their baby for sale at Craiglist for $10,100.

The police after been alerted by a woman found the 23-year-old mother and the 26-year-old-father using the cell phone number that was listed in the advertisement.

The couple was arrested and the baby taken to social care.

The couple was saying it was a hoax which is hard to believe when they advertised that the baby was very cute, unexpected and that its parents, who could not afford to care for it, wanted to give it a good home.

Check out how your eyes can trick you

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

This amazing gravity hill is actually a simple phenomenon were your eyes make you think the car is going up while it’s going down. The trick it’s at the surroundings that make you think that the car is going up while it’s going down.

Well this is a living proof that what we see isn’t the reality but instead our perception of reality. Our senses trick us every day so don’t forget not to believe everything you perceive.

Tiger the big cat

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

The tigers are some of the most powerful and beautiful animals at the face of the Earth.

Unfortunately this carnivore mammal which is the largest of the four “big cats” is under extinction all over the world. These “cats” can reach 4 meters (14 feet) in total length and weight up to 300 kilograms (660 pounds).

To remember you how graceful nature is and incite your protecting feelings towards the five living tiger species I decided to post this group of tiger photos specially selected for you.

Hope you enjoy!

Laser pointers are being banned

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

It’s unbelievable how some people, for fun or other reasons, point lasers at the cockpits of aircrafts. As obvious, these kind of actions can have serious consequences.

Since we have some nutcases among us, may it be because they are revolted against society or have fallen over their heads when babies, the Australian state of New South Wales has listed the high power hand lasers as a prohibited weapon. Anyone carrying them without permission will be facing jail up to 14 years.

To avoid accidents caused by pilots temporary blindness as result of having high power hand lasers pointed at them, it would be a good measure to start surveying areas were it’s possible to reach the aircrafts with the lasers and imposing heavier consequences to whoever does it, or in the worst case scenario even banning them like this Australian state did.

Australian government, to avoid accidents like the one that occurred over Sydney’s south with an ambulance helicopter when it was hit by a green light, is thinking of treating laser pointers like firearms.

By the statement of Home Affairs Minister. Bob Debus: “It’s destructive, dangerous behavior which needs a coordinated response across Australia,” I think that we can expect strong measures across Australia and if you are travelling over there you better leave your lasers at home.

Will Naomi Campbell be banned from flying whit British Airways ??

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

One of the most beautiful top models of the world has been banned from flying with British Airways which has been the company of her choice for nearly 30 years.
British Airways didn’t made any announcement about this situation but media reports said that Naomi Campbell was seen being escorted off a flight last week and that she was arrested under the suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
The 37 years old model born in Streatham, London was released on bail pending further investigations and hopes that this situation will be resolved in a friendly way.
According to her spokeswoman everything started when she found out that one of her two bags went missing.
The 4.3 billion pound ($8.6 billion) terminal seems to be giving problems similar to this one to the company, canceling hundreds of flights and loosing tens of thousands of bags.
This isn’t the first time that our gorgeous super model gets in trouble; in fact she already spent five days mopping floors as part of a community sentence in New York as consequence for throwing a mobile phone at her housekeeper due to an argument over a pair of jeans.
I just expect that she keeps going to the anger management classes which she was ordered by court so that she doesn’t get in any more problems.

Olympic Games at China???

Monday, April 7th, 2008
Territories currently administered by two states that formally use the name China: the PRC (in purple) and the ROC (in orange).Image from Wikipedia

Has you must know China isn’t a free country and just now started to allow access to wikipedia. Though allowing access to wikipedia is an evolution for their system they amazingly still don’t allow access to blogs among other stuff because there’s no free speech.

China is a regime with recent stories of violation of human’s rights.

I don’t understand how the Olympic Games are being realized at China once that sports are a kind of reflection of what goes one in the society. Olympic Games are also a way of sending the image of global unity.

I really don’t understand how the committee allowed the Olympic Games to be realized at China.

But now that they’re being realized there I can only suggest that people make the world notice all the terrible acts that China has been doing.

Maybe with a bit of luck China may back down in some of the horrible things they’ve been doing.

Amazing self milking cow

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

There’s a new cow in India, a cow that doesn’t need help to fill a bucket with milk.

Truly amazing, after she’s feed you just put the bucket under her and she’ll milk herself.

A must watch!

Shoplifter takes the meat and leaves his kid behind

A 45 year old thief left his son behind after stealing a packet of meat. Seems like he did a quick getaway, but unfortunately to him, he forgot his 12 years old son in the shop. After having a chat with the boy, the police managed to contact the father that has refused to return and that told the police to take the boy to his mother.

After some reflection the suspect turned himself to the police, good that it was just a piece of meat.

For sure that he was hungry.

The best cash machine in the world

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

atm.jpg

At the city of Hull in the north of England there’s an amazing cash machine that was giving the double of the amount of money you asked for free.

People were gathering and calling they’re friends to come and profit from the situation.

The machine gave up on giving money several hours later because it ran out of bills. Some people were withdrawing the maximum daily allowance which is 300 pounds ($600) and getting 600 pounds with a receipt of 300.

The company that administers the ATMs just said that it appeared that one of  his machines were malfunctioning and the police mentioned that if the operator complained they could charge the people that had benefited from the situation.

Who doesn’t want machines like that? Just the banks, so if you do not belong to a bank, watch out for those amazing machines, they might make your day.
