It is an optical illusion. There is a similar place in New Brunswick, Canada called the magnetic hill. Same concept but on a much grander scale; they turned it into a tourist attraction.

its just the perception of the slope without the reference of the over-all geography... theres a highway exit near my house (Bethlehem NH), where when you use it you seem to be going up hill (in relation to the highway) but in actuality you're going down hill (in relation to the actual hill the highway is on)

There's two things making this optical illusion work. An ideal point of reference - straight up - isn't available in the video. If the signs were straight up, I think you would see the second trick: whoever is working with the camera is holding it slightly slanted to make it the same angle as the lower road(and making the upper road look uphill).

^^^^^Yeah, its obvious that there are just 2 slopes next to each other, and one is steeper, so it appears the less steep one is going uphill.

Im pretty sure it really slopes the other way so that the car is actually running downhill. The road besides it is just sloping even more and thereby the illusion.

Im sorry but. Powerfull magnetic field my ass. Why do people resort to such explainations when 'magicians' make illusions all the time?
