This amazing gravity hill is actually a simple phenomenon were your eyes make you think the car is going up while it’s going down. The trick it’s at the surroundings that make you think that the car is going up while it’s going down.
Well this is a living proof that what we see isn’t the reality but instead our perception of reality. Our senses trick us every day so don’t forget not to believe everything you perceive.

WHERE IS THIS GRAVITY HILL?????
Im pretty sure it really slopes the other way so that the car is actually running downhill. The road besides it is just sloping even more and thereby the illusion.
Im sorry but. Powerfull magnetic field my ass. Why do people resort to such explainations when ‘magicians’ make illusions all the time?

^^^^^Yeah, its obvious that there are just 2 slopes next to each other, and one is steeper, so it appears the less steep one is going uphill.
There’s two things making this optical illusion work. An ideal point of reference – straight up – isn’t available in the video. If the signs were straight up, I think you would see the second trick: whoever is working with the camera is holding it slightly slanted to make it the same angle as the lower road(and making the upper road look uphill).
its just the perception of the slope without the reference of the over-all geography… theres a highway exit near my house (Bethlehem NH), where when you use it you seem to be going up hill (in relation to the highway) but in actuality you’re going down hill (in relation to the actual hill the highway is on)
It is an optical illusion. There is a similar place in New Brunswick, Canada called the magnetic hill. Same concept but on a much grander scale; they turned it into a tourist attraction.
There is also in Romania a strange fenomenon like this. if some one could mesure the angle to remove any unnecesary comments!!
No camera trickery just an optical illusion there is a similar hill between Bristol and Bath UK and its is known as dead mans hill.
Yep – just an optical illusion. Still fun though.

how can it be an illusion as i have been to the one between bath and bristol and sat in the car as it went up backwards! an illusion is somethink that you can see with your eyes….i sat i the car last night and felt it for myself!!!
