The Holy Mountain is one of the most amazing films ever done. This film was created in 1973 and shown at several international film festivals at the time, also had limited screenings at New York and San Francisco.

Unfortunately the wide release of the film only happened in 2007 because it was so controversial.

This movie was directed by Alexandro Jodorowsky and is full of symbolism.

The story goes around the main character reaching a wanted real or unreal objective and what happens on the way to get there, like a spiritual voyage.

I was completely amazed with this film and that’s why I decided to post about it, for me it’s like a present for the human kind because the movie is like opening a cinema Pandora box. I absolutely loved the idea of the director in starting a new kind of film, a film that reaches much further than others in the way that it’s full of emotional messages. A must see for sure!

Here I leave you with a video that for sure is going to convince you to see the film if you haven’t already seen it.

this is a fantastic work by a very enigmatic genius… i originally saw this film as a bootleg vhs tape back in the early 90s. now it’s been released again which is fantastic. perhaps if we get lucky senor jodorowski will grace us with a new work.

have you seen his comic work with moebius? pretty beautiful and arcane stuff. i’ve also heard that he occasionally gives tarot readings in paris. if you’ve ever seen his film ‘fando and lis’ that doesn’t seem impossible.

    thanks for posting this.
