2007 most visited museum and exposition

According to the journal “The Art Newspaper” The Louvre was the most visited museum of 2007 with 8.3 millions visits. The most visited exposition was the one with the painting “annunciation” of Leonardo da Vinci at the National Museum of Japan (Tokyo), because the Japanese really enjoy occidental art, especially Italian art.

The first six most visited museums are located at France (Paris) and U.S.A. (New York and Washington). The seventh most visited museum was at the Vatican.
