First moon with rings known to man

Nasa’s Cassini spacecraft found evidence of rings around one of Saturn moons.

This is completely new to man because we only known planets to have rings.

This moon is called Rhea and is roughly 1,500 kilometers (950 miles) in diameter, doesn’t have an atmosphere and has rings formed of apparent debris the size of pebbles and dust.

The ring might have been caused by some kind of big collision like an asteroid or else.

The Universe is so big that we are meant to find new variations, like this one. We just have to keep looking.

This is an artist concept of the ring of debris that may orbit Saturn’s second-largest moon, Rhea. Image credit: : NASA/JPL/JHUAPL
