2000 miles test drive on a car

March 7, 2008

The 30 year old Australian took a $40,000 Honda Accord for a test drive of 1.988 miles or 3.200 kilometers. This men drove the car from Melbourne to Adelaide to Alice Springs, said the Tennant Creek police Constable. He was orderly arrested at a road block after he failed to pay for fuel at the station.

Well, intentional or not the reality is that he broke the Australian record of a car getaway known to the Australian police.

The owner of the car yard says that he must have been in the car everyday to reach Tennant Creek.

At the end this man was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of property and will appear on court on Thursday.

So my advice is, watch your miles when you go on a car test drive.
